Shantanu Deshpande is the founder and CEO of Bombay Shaving Company, one of India’s most customer-centric men’s grooming brands. With a B.Tech from VNIT Nagpur and an MBA from IIM Lucknow, Shantanu combines analytical rigor with strategic business insight. Prior to founding Bombay Shaving Company in 2016, he worked as an external advisor with McKinsey & Company, honing expertise in business strategy, operations, and customer engagement.

Under Shantanu’s leadership, the company has grown rapidly by prioritizing customer experience, offering personalized grooming solutions, and continuously innovating its product portfolio to include shaving kits, beard care, and women’s grooming products. The brand is now India’s second-largest shaving company, with annual revenues exceeding INR 250 crore, and has secured strategic investments from Colgate-Palmolive and Reckitt Benckiser. Shantanu excels at building high-performing teams, scaling D2C operations, and embedding a customer-first mindset across all touchpoints.
