Vikram Rai is the CEO, South Asia, GE Aerospace, with nearly two decades of experience in the civil aerospace sector spanning airlines and airports. At GE, he is responsible for expanding the company’s footprint across India and South Asia, and since 2017 has led its commercial engines business. His leadership was instrumental in securing the world’s largest single-engine order from IndiGo airlines, strengthening GE’s position in the region. Vikram joined GE Aviation in 2012 after serving as General Manager at Rolls-Royce, where he drove business development across South Asia. Earlier, he was with HBE–Aviosec, a start-up in the airports and broadcasting domain, where he held roles of increasing responsibility from 2002 to 2007. An electronics engineering graduate from Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science, Nagpur University, he was named to The Economic Times “40 Under Forty” list of India’s Hottest Business Leaders in 2021.
