Biography

Rhea Mazumdar Singhal is the visionary Founder and CEO of Ecoware, India’s first and largest sustainable packaging company, transforming the way India approaches single-use alternatives. A biotechnology graduate and Harvard Kennedy School alumna, Rhea left a successful career at Pfizer to address India’s plastic crisis by launching Ecoware in 2009. Under her leadership, Ecoware has grown into a trusted supplier of compostable, PFAS-free tableware made from agricultural waste, serving millions daily. Her work in sustainability and inclusive innovation has earned her the Nari Shakti Puraskar, the highest civilian honor for women in India, and recognition as a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader and Asia 21 Young Leader.
