Pullela Gopichand is a former Indian badminton player. Presently, he is the Chief National Coach for the Indian Badminton team. He won the All England Open Badminton Championships in 2001 becoming the second Indian to achieve this feat after Prakash Padukone. He runs the Gopichand Badminton Academy. He received the Arjuna Award in 1999, the Dronacharya Award in 2009 and the Padma Bhushan – India's third highest civilian award – in 2014.
Major Devender Pal Singh is a retired officer in the Indian Army. He is a Kargil war veteran, and is known as the India's first blade runner. After falling a million times, he has picked himself up, and as of today has more than 18 marathons to his credit. No wonder he has rightfully earned himself a column in Limca Book of Records “People of the year 2016”. Singh has begun a support group for amputees, The Challenging Ones, in 2011 to encourage and enable people like him to strive to rise above their disability through sports. The group has won many laurels in Paralympics sports at national and international level.The motto of the group is “I might be slow, but I keep my flow. I won’t stop till I reach the top.”

Lt. Gen. Deependra Singh Hooda retired as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Northern Command after forty years of service in the Indian Army. From 2012 to 2016, he was stationed in Jammu and Kashmir, first as a Corps commander and then as the Northern Army Commander when he handled numerous strategic challenges along the borders with China and Pakistan. He was the Army Commander during the Chumarand Demchokface-off situations along the India-China LAC in September 2014 and during the launch of surgical strikes against Pakistan in September 2016. As a Major General, he was responsible for counterinsurgency operations in Manipur and South Assam. His earlier assignments included serving as Chief Logistics Officer for the newly-raised United Nations Mission to Ethiopia and Eritrea. He is currently accredited as a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Land Warfare Studies, New Delhi and also serves on the Advisory Boards of Cyber Peace Foundation (an NGO dealing with cyber protection and training) and Cyber Security Research Centre at Punjab Engineering College. His career spanned over four decades. He was awarded the Param Vishisht Seva Medal, Uttam Yudh Seva Medal, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and the Vishisht Seva Medal (Bar) He is a regular contributor to newspapers, on-line media portals and professional journals.
