Dr. Binish Desai is a pioneering innovator and social entrepreneur known as the "Recycle Man of India." With a Master’s in Environmental Engineering and an honorary Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Technology, he began his journey at age 11 by experimenting with waste materials. As founder and chairman of Eco Eclectic Technologies, he has developed 150+ eco-products and recycled over 3,500 tonnes of industrial waste. Driven by the belief that “waste is a resource in the wrong hands,” he champions sustainable waste management to create social impact. His accolades include Forbes Asia’s 30 Under 30, Rotary International Alumni Humanitarian of the Year (South Asia), and Covid Hero Youth Icon 2020. A Padma Shri nominee, his work is set to be chronicled in an upcoming book and Bollywood biopic. Dr. Desai continues to lead with the vision of eliminating industrial waste from landfills through innovation and circular economy solutions.
