Lieutenant General Kanwal Jeet Singh Dhillon, PVSM, UYSM, YSM, VSM (Retd), popularly known as ‘Tiny’ Dhillon, has a distinguished 39-year military career with over five tenures in Jammu and Kashmir and NorthEast, specializing in counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism. Commanding the 15 Corps during the challenging Pulwama IED blast and the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A, he played a pivotal role in fostering peace in Kashmir. Superannuating as Director General, Defence Intelligence Agency, under the Chief of Defence Staff in January 2022, his strategic leadership spans military, intelligence, and crisis management.
