Shantum Seth

Biography

Shantum Seth was ordained as a Dharmacharya (Teacher of the Dharma) by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh in 2001. Since then, he has been teaching mindfulness and Buddhism across India and worldwide, leading pilgrimages "In the Footsteps of the Buddha" and other transformative multi-faith journeys. Known as the foremost guide to Buddha's sites, Shantum is also deeply involved in social, environmental, and educational initiatives through the non-profit trust Ahimsa, of which he is a founder. He has worked with the World Bank, advised the Government of India, and contributed to various books and films. A frequent speaker at international conferences and institutions, Shantum is committed to fostering peace and cross-cultural understanding. He has lived in England, the USA, and France, traveled to over 65 countries, and maintains a mission of "Peace in Oneself, Peace in the World."
