Biography

The expert is a retired HOD of the Sanskrit Department - Delhi Public School (R.K. Puram), New Delhi. She has numerous published articles and research papers on Veda- (ancient texts like the Ramayana and the Mahabharata) Indian Culture related subjects and also on the role and view of Hindu women. She has presented numerous papers at the World Sanskrit conferences in India and abroad. She is the recipient of the Maharishi Patanjali Rashtriya Shikshak Samman (a National Award), Vidyalaya Sanskrit Sewa Samman, and the Sanskrit-Samaaraadhak-Sammaan by the Delhi Sanskrit Academy. She was awarded a doctorate by Lucknow University on the topic "Fifth mandala of the Rigveda: A Linguistic Study". She has over 30 years of teaching experience and her teaching and research are focused on broad topics which include Veda-related subjects and also on the role and view of Hindu women. She completed her Ph.D. from Lucknow University.
