Vikas Swarup is a distinguished Indian diplomat, author, and public speaker with a career spanning nearly four decades in the Indian Foreign Service. Renowned globally as the author of Q & A, the novel that inspired the Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire, Vikas blends diplomacy with storytelling to highlight the complexities of contemporary society. Over the course of his diplomatic journey, he has served in key postings across Turkey, the United States, Ethiopia, the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Japan. He also held the prominent role of Official Spokesperson of India’s Ministry of External Affairs, representing India’s voice on international platforms.
