Biography

Rana Safvi is a renowned writer, scholar, and local historian documenting India’s pluralistic culture and civilizational legacy through books, podcasts, videos, and her blog ranasafvi.com. She has authored nine acclaimed books on history, culture, and monuments, including the Delhi trilogy—Where Stones Speak, The Forgotten Cities of Delhi, and Shahjahanabad: The Living City of Old Delhi—as well as Tales from the Quran and Hadith. A respected translator, she has brought seminal Urdu works on Delhi into English, including Sir Syed Ahmad Khan’s Asar-us-Sanadid and Dastan-e-Ghadar, along with multiple historical accounts of Old Delhi.
