Kapil is President & Global Head – Group Strategy and M&A at Jindal Steel & Power Ltd., leading corporate strategy, business planning, acquisitions, divestments, equity raises, policy advocacy, and strategic legal affairs across metals, mining, and energy businesses in India and abroad. With over 18 years at the JSPL Group, Kapil has played a pivotal role in several high-impact initiatives, including India’s largest QIP in the steel sector (~₹1200 crores), the ₹1121 crore divestment of oxygen plants with leasebacks to support operations, and the monetization of non-core assets to strengthen financial health. He is also developing a strategic restructuring plan to unlock shareholder value and reduce risk. Kapil is passionate about deal-making, regulatory engagement, and fostering partnerships. He has also served as Executive Assistant to Chairman Mr. Naveen Jindal and frequently speaks at industry forums on steel, power, coal, and policy matters.
