Smita Prakash is a veteran journalist with nearly two decades of impactful contributions. Graduating in journalism from the University of Delhi, she embarked on her career at ANI in 1986, steadily climbing the ranks. Her marriage to Sanjeev furthered ANI's government connections. Smita reported for NPR News America, NHK Japan, and other global broadcasters, covering elections, natural disasters, and international events. Renowned for anchoring popular TV shows like "Rotating Mirror" and "Newsmakers," she hosted the longest-running South African TV show, "This Week in India." Notably, her interviewing prowess was spotlighted in the 2019 interview with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As an Editor and News Reporter at ANI, she continues to shape the narrative of Indian-region news globally.
