Biography

Vir Sanghvi is one of India’s most distinguished journalists, with a career spanning print, television, books, and digital media. Educated at Oxford University, he became the youngest editor in Indian journalism at 22, leading Bombay magazine. He went on to edit Sunday magazine and later served as Editor and Editorial Director of the Hindustan Times, where he oversaw its expansion into multiple cities. Vir has also hosted numerous acclaimed TV shows across Doordarshan, Star, NDTV, and Discovery Travel & Living. His bestselling books include Men of Steel, Rude Food, and Mandate. In 2015, he co-founded EazyDiner, now a leading restaurant reservation platform. A recipient of numerous awards including the Rajiv Gandhi Award and the World Economic Forum's Global Leader of Tomorrow, Vir continues to shape public discourse as a columnist, commentator, and TV host. He is currently a member of the Broadcast Content Complaint Council.
