Prof. Pallamraju, a leading figure in atmospheric and space sciences, obtained his Ph.D. from PRL in 1996 after a Post-Doctoral stint at PRL (1996-1997). Subsequently, he played pivotal roles at Boston University 's Center for Space Physics for over a decade, as Principal Investigator or Co-PI on NASA and NSF projects.
Internationally recognized, he became a Corresponding Member of the International Academy of Astronautics (2023). He serves as Vice-Chair for COSPAR 's Scientific Commission C, focusing on Space Studies of the Upper Atmospheres, and co-leads the Space Weather and Atmosphere Pillar in SCOSTEP 's PRESTO program. He is instrumental in India 's Aeronomy satellite mission and ISRO 's future mission to Venus.
Currently Senior Professor and Dean at PRL, he has made significant contributions to space weather research. He holds nearly 100 publications and has delivered over 90 invited talks worldwide. His impressive career continues to impact atmospheric and space sciences globally.
