He established General Atlantic's India office in 2002, Singapore office in 2011 and led its South East Asia investment initiatives with a focus on financial services and enterprise solutions. He has been an investor in Indian businesses since 1996 and has held numerous executive positions. He spent 12 years in both hardware and software industries in the United States, Europe and Asia. He has spent eleven years as an officer in the Indian Armed Forces , followed by another eleven years in the corporate sector before joining the Government as CEO of the National Intelligence Grid.
